![]() ![]() A spring to the side of the kiosk bubbles with fresh cool water. To the west of the pond is a small kiosk known as the Shuixin (water' s Heart) Pavilion. It is said that fish wee placed in the pond before 1851. The pond is filled with unusually large and colorful gold fish, some more than half a meter long. The only extant component of the original temple is the fishpond located behind the halls at the foot of a small cliff. In 1428, during the Ming Dynasty, it was restored and resumed its old name, and in1478, it was finally given its present name. Originally called the Dragon Spring Temple, its name was changed to the Mountain of Awakening Temple in 1162. Less than half a kilometer up Cuiwei Hill one comes to the Temple of Divine Light. In the rear courtyard there are two white pines (also known as dragon-claw pines) reputed to date from the Yuan Dynasty. In front of the Sakyamuni Hall there is an urn-shaped bell struck as part of Buddhist rituals, which also dates from the Ming Dynasty. In the south corner of the covered corridor in the rear part of the hall is a bronze bell cast in 1600 by imperial command. Chinese Buddhists worshiped guan Yu as a temple guardian. The Sakyamuni Hall houses a bronze statue of Guan Yu, a hero of the Three Kingdoms period who was later worshiped as the God of War. Constructed in 1504 during the Ming Dynasty, the temple is comprised of two courtyards, the first containing the Sakyamnuni Hall and the second the Niangniang (a female deity) Hall. The Temple of Eternal Peace is situated on the plain at the foot of Cuiwei Hill. Update (May 19): We’ve updated this post and its map with more Goddess Statue locations.The Eight Great Temples in the Western Hills (Badachu) There are foods and elixirs that can be consumed that will provide extra hearts such as “hearty” dishes or extra stamina wheels with Endura carrots. You can also temporarily increase your health or stamina by sleeping on a nice bed at an inn or partaking their special treatments. Some of the side adventures also give you the option to choose between heart container or stamina vessel. After you complete major objectives like a temple or certain side adventures, you’ll receive a heart container, which will increase your health pool by one whole heart. Of course, while Lights of Blessing and Goddess Statues boost your health and stamina permanently, there are other ways to increase your health or stamina. They’re typically located in villages on the surface, but they can also be found on sky islands. There are at least a dozen Goddess Statues in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Interact with a Goddess Statue to exchange four Lights of Blessing for a heart container (which increases your total health by one heart) or a stamina vessel (which increases your stamina by a fifth of a wheel). Lights of Blessing can be exchanged for heart containers and stamina vessels at the Goddess Statues scattered around the map. Once you have four Lights of Blessing in hand, you can exchange them at a Goddess Statue to permanently increase your health or stamina. After you successfully complete a shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll receive a Light of Blessing. ![]()
